After a seven-year hiatus, Rihanna made her highly anticipated return to the music world on Sunday night at the Super Bowl halftime show.
And not only did the 13-minute performance showcase the singer’s catalogue, but she also revealed a baby bump, announcing her second pregnancy in style.
In an interview last week, the Bajan singer was asked if there would be any surprises during her performance at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.
“I’m thinking about bringing someone," she replied. “I’m not sure, we’ll see."
Since the 34-year-old star announced she would be taking the stage at the halftime show, the build-up has been fever pitch. In recent years, Rihanna has shifted her focus from music to her beauty and fashion empires – she hasn’t released an album since the critically acclaimed Anti in 2016.
Thanks to these ventures, back in 2019, Rihanna was officially named the world’s richest female musician and more recently made the enviable switch from millionaire to billionaire.
She also gave birth to her first child with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky last May.

Thanks to a combination of her brands and her discography, Rihanna is now worth $1.7 billion, according to Forbes’ most recent estimates.
This makes her the wealthiest female musician in the world and the second richest female entertainer (Oprah Winfrey is first).
How much does Rihanna make from her brands?
The vast majority of Rihanna’s income – about $1.4 billion – comes from her beauty line, Fenty Beauty. Launched in 2017, the brand, of which Rihanna owns 50 per cent, has since become a pioneer of inclusivity in the beauty industry.
Within the first month of Fenty Beauty’s launch in September 2017, it enjoyed $100 million in sales. Its success continued to grow, reaching $550 million in annual revenue after in its first calendar year.
Rihanna then launched lingerie brand Savage X Fenty in May 2018, which is valued at around $3 billion, according to Forbes.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Net Worth noted that Rihanna earns approximately $70 million a year and has millions tied up in a raft of expensive homes, including a $13.75 million mansion she bought in Beverly Hills in December 2020.

Although the majority of Rihanna’s cash comes from her business ventures outside the music industry, her earnings from her records are not to be sniffed at.
She has sold 60 million albums and 215 million digital downloads throughout her career, making her the biggest digital selling artist of all time.
According to Billboard, it was reported that the singer earned $7.6 million from streaming, $2.5 million from sales, and $10.1 million in royalties in 2016.
Additionally, her Diamonds World Tour in 2013 went on to gross more than $140 million worldwide and sold out 84 out of the 87 stops on the tour, reported Billboard. For her 2016 Anti World Tour, the singer made $25 million over 40 shows.
Who is Rihanna dating?
Rihanna has been in a relationship with rapper A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, since 2020.
Before the pair got together, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky worked together on multiple collaborations. In 2011, Rihanna released a remix of her song Cockiness (I Love It) featuring A$AP Rocky, which appears on her album, Talk That Talk. A source reported to the Sun that the two shared a hotel suite during a trip to New York. “However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan,” the source said.
However, by December 2020, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were “inseparable”, an insider told People, the couple having confirmed their relationship in November 2020. "It’s a new relationship, but they both seem very into it,” the source said.
In May 2021, A$AP Rocky opened up about his relationship with Rihanna in a profile for GQ, in which he called her the love of his life and “the one”.
The two stepped out at the Met Gala together in September 2021, marking their red carpet debut as a couple.

The singer announced her pregnancy in January 2022 with a photoshoot in New York City, featuring coordinating pink and blue outfits.
The couple have yet to share their son’s name publicly. In November 2022, Rihanna told the Associated Press that the couple would eventually announce his name.
“We just didn’t get around to it yet really, she told the outlet. "We’ve just been living. But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with kind of just, like, getting it out there."
Rihanna initially kept her son’s image private until December 2022, when she shared the first video of her then seven-month-old baby boy on TikTok.

Ahead of the Super Bowl, Rihanna recently admitted at a press conference that finding a work-life balance has been impossible to achieve following the birth of her son.
“It’s very different,” she said. “The balance is almost impossible, because no matter how you look at it, work is always something that’s going to rob you of time with your child.”
