Everything Nicola Sturgeon said in heartfelt resignation speech

Nicola Sturgeon announced her resignation as First Minister and SNP leader in an emotional speech today.

The news was confirmed at a press conference this morning (February 15) with Ms Sturgeon confirming she will remain First Minister until a successor is elected.

She has been in the position for more than eight years after taking over from Alex Salmond in November 2014 following the independence referendum.
