When was the March 2026 Nintendo Indie World?

The next Indie World showcase took place on March 3, 2026, at 9AM ET / 6AM PT / 2PM GMT.

It lasted for roughly 15 minutes.

Where to watch Nintendo Indie World

As with past live stream events, you could watch the Indie World showcase via the official Nintendo of America YouTube channel.

Hello everyone and welcome to the start of my Nintendo Indie World Showcase coverage!

I'll be sticking with you as the event nears, and then sharing a steady stream of announcements and my thoughts on them as they come in.

Just 50 minutes to go!

There is just 50 minutes to go until the Indie World Showcase begins.

The stream is currently in a waiting-room-like state over on YouTube, allowing you to tune in and ensure you will be there the second it starts.

How long is today's Indie World Showcase?

Nintendo has already confirmed that today's Indie World Showcase will be roughly 15 minutes long.

That's about the same length as previous shows, and based on those events will likely mean about 16 or 17 games will be shown in total.

What kind of games should I expect?

Indie World Showcases are, as the name suggests, dedicated to indie games - titles from smaller teams that might not feature in a regular Nintendo Direct.

This means that you're not going to see major Nintendo franchises like Super Mario here. These are third-party titles that are generally quite small in scope.

Here are some examples of titles that showed up in previous Indie World Showcases to give you a rough idea of the kind of things to expect:

  • Ball x Pit
  • Mina The Hollower
  • Little Kitty, Big City
  • UFO 50
  • Tiny Bookshop
  • Caves of Qud

It's an important anniversary today

Away from the Nintendo Indie World coverage for a moment, did you remember that today is an important anniversary?

It's been nine whole years since the release of the original Nintendo Switch. You read that right, it's been nine whole years!

The console originally launched on March 3, 2017.

Just under ten minutes to go everyone!

If you're not able to follow along with the stream live, you can keep up with the announcements in text form here.

The Nintendo Indie World showcase is officially starting. Here we go...

Here's our first announcement then, some kind of anime-inspired game by the look of it.

It seems like you're driving a bus around a futuristic environments, hitting grinds and tricks.

That was Denshattack!, it's coming out in June for Switch 2.

Cute dog on screen! For a game called My Little Puppy it seems. Fitting.

It looks like this is a cutesy adventure game set in dog heaven? I'm seeing some parkour gameplay, plenty of cute running, and even some dodging enemies.

It's out on May 29.

Heave Ho 2 now, a sequel to (you guessed it) Heave Ho.

It's a nice looking puzzle game where you and other players swing around to traverse unique environments.

It's the first game in the franchise to support online multiplayer and will be out for both Switch and Switch 2 this summer.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is on screen now. It's a little dungeon crawler that blends resource scavenging, hack and slash combat, and shop management.

It's a Switch 2 release coming in 2026.

A really cute wooden aesthetic for this game: Woodo.

You build little wooden sculptures in nice little dioramas. The graphics here look really nice - and it'll support mouse controls on Switch 2. A Switch release is also coming when it launches in summer.

Now we're on Minishoot Adventure, a top-down space shooter where you pilot a little ship.

It's out later today for both Switch 2 and Switch!

A familiar art style here, with a Switch 2 port of The Midnight Walk announced.

It'll be here on March 26.

Rotwood, a side scroller from the team behind Don't Starve, is being shown off now.

It looks really nice, with some really crisp hand-drawn graphics. It's got loot, abilities, big bosses, and everything you would expect from the genre.

There's co-op for up to three players too!

It's releasing as a console exclusive later today.

This next game looks absolutely lovely, with some serious Life is Strange vibes.

It's called Mixtape, and it will be out for Switch 2 on May 7.

We must be nearing the end now, with just a few more announcements to go...

Blighted now, a new game from the Guacamelee! devs. It's releasing for Switch 2 in Fall.

Deadzone: Rogue, a sci-fi shooter now. This is a name I recognize, as the game is already out on PC.

It's a roguelike shooter where you gun your way through a deadly space station, unlocking perks and weapons. It will support mouse mode on Switch 2, which is definitely good news.

It will be out on March 17, 2026.

It's time for a montage... Here's what's being shown:

  • Grave Seasons
  • Unrailed 2: Back on Track
  • Toem 2
  • inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories.
  • Outbound
  • Ratatan

We're rounding out with one last game now, a port of Blue Prince! This is an excellent game, so I'm glad that it's finally coming to Switch 2.

It supports mouse controls and will be available later today!

And that's it - what did you think of today's show? Are there any announcements that excited you?
