A person in an Irish jersey was hilariously spotted cheering on the Germans against England during the final of Euro 2022 at Wembley yesterday evening.
The jersey was spotted by some eagle-eyed observers in the midst of German fans as they celebrated their equalizing goal that forced the game into extra time. Ultimately this wasn't enough for Germany, as Chloe Kelly's 110th minute goal secured the Lionesses a maiden international trophy.
Many Irish fans on Twitter however, couldn't get the hilarious sight of an Irish jersey in the middle of thousands of Germany fans out of their minds.

"Lmao, who was that legend in the Ireland jersey celebrating with the Germany fans?" posted one Twitter user.
Mary Kelly wrote, "I love that there is a person in the crowd wearing an Ireland Jersey!"
"The German's grab an equaliser and there's someone wearing an Ireland jersey in the middle of the German fans celebrating! haha," said Tadhg.
But the Republic of Ireland jersey wasn't the only Irish sporting attire on display at Wembley yesterday, as per tradition, a rogue Kerry jersey managed to make a splash on the worlds sporting stage. This person however, appeared to be cheering on the home side as The Lionesses made history.
While thousands of Kerry fans left Croke Park disappointed after their All Ireland defeat to Meath yesterday, the sight of the green and gold of The Kingdom left many Twitter users in stitches.
Shane posted, "There is always a kerry jersey, always."
While Tim wrote, "After a nuclear holocaust, there will be some cockroach in a Kerry jersey photobombing other completely unrelated sporting events."
Of course this isn't the first time a Kerry jersey has popped up at major global sporting events. From The Masters to The Crucible, the EURO 2020 semi-final to the NFL, the Kerry jersey has become synonymous with the biggest sporting events in the world.
God only knows where the jersey will be spotted next.
