Many fans felt Brighton would have beaten Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final had Evan Ferguson been fit to play.
The Irish teenager wasn't risked as he continues to recover from an ankle injury that he sustained during Brighton's win over Chelsea at Stamford bridge last weekend.
Roberto De Zerbi's side created plenty of chances to beat Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday, but were missing some cutting edge up front and were held scoreless for 120 minutes.

Ferguson has been in sparkling form for the Seagulls this season and is their top-scoring striker with 8 goals in 19 games this season, and plenty believe if he had played yesterday, he may well have fired Brighton to a first FA Cup final in 40 years.
"That last move that closed the half was vintage De Zerbi. Draw United in at centre-half in their own box, then quickly up the pitch to the space out wide. All that was missing was Evan Ferguson to finish," said Chief football writer of the Independent Miguel Delaney.
"If Brighton had a clinical striker like Evan Ferguson we would losing 2-0," said a Manchester United fan during the game yesterday.
"If Evan Ferguson wasn't injured Brighton would 100% be ahead by now," said another.
While one more said, "Tough on Brighton - but brilliantly taken penalties. Thank goodness Evan Ferguson wasn’t playing today - he would have taken some of those chances. Some job ETH has done getting this lot to two finals in his first season."
Many fans also believe that if Ferguson had have been on the end of a couple of chances that were missed by Deniz Undav, the Seagulls may well have reached the final.
"Evan Ferguson instead of Undav for that final pass and chance he’s had since coming on…" said another supporter.
"This Undav guy is throwing so hard man Evan Ferguson puts this game to bed 3 times over."
