Jurgen Klopp remains adamant that Darwin Nunez is "really getting there" as he continues to adapt to life at Anfield.
Liverpool potentially made the Uruguayan their most expensive signing in history when they secured his services from Benfica last summer. Nunez had enjoyed a breakout campaign in Lisbon, scoring on 34 occasions, but has been unable to consistently show that kind of form on Merseyside.
Nunez, who was sent off on his home debut, has had to deal with lofty expectations and has struggled at times. The signing of the 23-year-old represented a slight shift in the way Liverpool play, but he has scored 12 times and Klopp is more than pleased with his efforts.
