Liverpool closed the gap on leaders Manchester City in the title race after their win over Everton.
The Reds claimed a 2-0 victory over their city rivals at the weekend in the 240th Merseyside derby to move one point behind Man City. Second half goals from Andy Robertson and Divock Origi secured all the points for the home side at Anfield.
Ian Doyle was on hand to provide his regular player ratings for the ECHO after Sunday’s win. Goal scoring duo Robertson and Origi were both handed scores of eight.

Here at the ECHO, we also gave readers the chance to give out their own ratings for the Liverpool players in the win over Everton. Reds fans responded in their numbers, as ever, with the best performers clear.
Readers were in agreement with Ian in Robertson (8.4) being the standout performer, and was closely followed by Origi (8.2). Fellow substitute Luis Diaz also impressed with a score of 8.1, after he provided the assist for Origi’s close-range header.
At the other end of the spectrum, Naby Keita was given the lowest score by ECHO readers, with a rating of 6.3. He was narrowly behind Trent Alexander-Arnold (6.4) and Diogo Jota (6.5) at the lower end of the ratings.
What everyone else said
The Mail Online also handed out their scores for the Liverpool players. Robertson was their man of the match, with a score of 8.5 following his goal and important defensive duties.
Robertson was, once again, closely followed by Origi in the ratings with a score of eight, as was Mohamed Salah. Alisson Becker, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara all scored seven for their efforts.
Sadio Mane, Keita and Alexander-Arnold were each handed the lowest scores of six in the report.
