Crystal Palace manager Patrick Viera has urged his players to enjoy playing in 'one of the best atmospheres in Europe' ahead of their trip to Anfield on Monday night.
Jurgen Klopp and Vera will come head-to-head as both managers look to collect their first victory of the new Premier League campaign, with their sides dropping points to Fulham and Arsenal respectively during the league's opening round of fixtures last weekend.
However, ahead of Monday night's trip to Merseyside, where the Eagles were defeated 3-0 in the corresponding fixture last season despite an impressive performance, the former Arsenal invincible has advised his young team to embrace the occasion.

“Everybody in the game knows that stadium,” said Vieira. “It is a special ground. The atmosphere is one of the best in Europe. [The] players will be excited, you want to play in those kinds of stadiums where the atmosphere is strong."
For Viera, if Palace re to leave Merseyside with anything to show for their efforts they will have to be successful in keeping Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz quiet, which could prove to be quite the task for his back-line.
“It’s going to be challenging but there is excitement and pleasure to play in these stadiums more than anything else," the Frenchman added.
“I don’t have any doubt about the character and personality of my team. We will play our best, it may not be enough but we are not going there to be shy or hide – it will be challenging but we are ready to face those challenges.”
