Every word David Moyes said following West Ham's draw with Newcastle United

What are your thoughts on that result?

I was thrilled to take a point because we didn't play well. I think it was one of our poorer performances. Sometimes when it is not going well you need to make most of it. We keep adding to the points tally, and hopefully an important one at end of the season.

It was a soft goal to give away, what did you make of it?

A really soft goal. I have not seen it back but at the time it felt incredibly soft. Like the Keystone Cops we didn't get rid of it.

No shot on target in the second half why was that?

I thought our game improved a little in the second half but I did not know that stat. I thought we looked more threatening, Dawson had a shot blocked, Jarrod Bowen had a good shot blocked. So i thought there were things beginning to look more like happening than the first half.

Benrahma wasn't happy should he have come off quicker?

Yes, that is what I was asking I said 'run off' so we can use our time and get our sub on as quick as we can.

Do you feel the size of the squad is affecting you?

I don't think it was energy or anything like that as we had a week this week to build and prepare and we had a good week's training. The squad is tight and has been for a year or two and we have done not bad so that is not a reason why we have not done so well. Ultimately it is a part of where we are some player's levels need to improve, I am trying to get them back up there but they need to improve their levels and their form.

Do you think fatigue has been a factor in the last two games?

No, I don't, I see the physical data and see what the players are doing. But sometimes not just the data tell you but the eye sometimes tells you the players aren't sharp, as fast or committed. The data would disprove that but we've not looked as on the front foot around the ball. We lost an awful lot of first and second balls, the basic things in football. A lot of simple things.

What more do you want to see from Benrahma?

I want Said to be a team player, which he is, I want him to make and create goals and score goals and understand when to pass and dribble and keep it. So they are the key things for Said.

Were you comfortable with the loud booing at the end from the home fans?

I think it might have been for the referee's decisions at the end and not to do with the team performance. It could have been but I think it was for the referee not being more decisive with his decisions at the end.

Expectations have risen under you, do the fans still need to be patient around a top-four chase?

It is a long time since journalists talked about West Ham in a top-four chase. We want to be that club and we enjoy the journalists talking about us in that way. Today was not a good performance, it was good we took a point because on another day maybe we would not have. but if we want to hang in with the big boys we are going to have to win games like this.

For me strangely enough I'm getting more interest in our getting back to a level of performance than points. I want us to get back to being a really good exciting front-foot team playing well. I know if I get those performances we will get more points but at the moment I am scrapping a few here and then but I cannot say I am really enjoying it.

Any issue with Said Benrahma?

No, none at all I just asked him to run faster and get off the pitch so we could get the sub on fast and use the time at our home stadium to our best advantage
