West Ham United and the rest of the teams in England’s top four leagues can no longer sign players, with the summer transfer window now shut.
The Hammers have made eight signings for the senior squad and have seen a number of senior players depart this summer, with Issa Diop the club’s highest profile transfer sale.
In acquisitions, the Hammers have spent around £160million on the eight senior players they have signed. However, that figure could increase to north of £180million after future add-ons, with midfielder Lucas Paqueta arriving from Lyon on Monday night for a fee that could make him the club’s expensive ever signing after add-ons.
