Players in
Tyrell Malacia
Manchester United's first signing of the summer, left-back Tyrell Malacia joined from Feyenoord and looks to have made an immediate impact at the club, already seemingly taking the starting spot from Luke Shaw.
Malacia performed strongly in his full debut against Liverpool after his £13 million move and has already been compared to Patrice Evra by Rio Ferdinand.

Christian Eriksen
Joining as a free agent after an impressive stint with Brentford, Christian Eriksen adds much needed creativity to United's midfield, and could be deployed in a slightly deeper position.
The Danish international performed well against Liverpool in the position, being used in a quarterback like role to move the ball quickly from United's defence to spring attacks.
He could form a dynamic duo alongside Frenkie de Jong.
Lisandro Martinez
United had long chased the tenacious centre-back from Ajax and finally got their man just weeks before the Premier League opener.
Although he struggled against Brentford, Martinez bounced back with strong performances against Liverpool and Southampton.
Casemiro
One which not many United fans will have seen coming, but the signing of Casemiro was a welcome one. One of the best defensive midfielders of this generation, the Brazilian was allowed to leave Real Madrid after the Spanish giants spent a large sum on acquiring former United target Aurelien Tchouameni. Along with the emerging Eduoard Camavinga, Casemiro left Madrid for around £60 million.
United have long-needed a defensive midfielder, and have now signed a player who might just be the best in the world in the position.
Tom Huddlestone
Imagine the scenes if 35-year-old Tom Huddlestone was the man United identified to solve their midfield issues. No disrespect to the player, but that was never going to be the case when he signed at Old Trafford - as he joins as a player-coach for the club's under-21's.
Huddlestone will not be involved with the first-team.
Players out
Andreas Pereira
The Brazilian returned to United after an impressive loan spell back in his home country with Flamengo.
However, he would be deemed surplus to requirements and was sold to Fulham for £10 million.
The 26-year-old has performed well for the London-based club, with Fulham sitting in the top half and being unbeaten through three games this season.
Dean Henderson
Dean Henderson's future at Manchester United might just be over after his comments following his loan move to Nottingham Forest.
Henderson slated United after he revealed he rejected a number of loan offers last summer having been told he would be the club's first-choice goalkeeper. The shot-stopper joined Forest on loan this summer after becoming frustrated with a lack of playing time at Old Trafford. Many had expected Henderson to become the club's long-term No.1 having broken into the first team during the 2020/21 campaign.
He was told by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he would retain his place in the starting XI the following season, though a bout of Covid derailed his campaign, allowing David de Gea to reclaim his place between the sticks.
He'll now spend the season looking to impress, with United having a decision to make next summer.
Alex Telles
The attack-minded full-back was allowed to leave this summer after falling to third-choice left-back behind Malacia and Luke Shaw. Telles spent two seasons at United, and was never truly able to claim the left-back spot, being vaulted into the role when Shaw had struggled with injuries.
He has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan.
Ethan Laird
Some United fans had hoped to see Laird be given a chance in the first-team after an impressive loan spell at Swansea City last season and with questions at the right-back spot at Old Trafford.
But it looks to be the case that Diogo Dalot will reclaim the spot, with a potential addition coming in to add competition.
That could be bad news for Laird long-term, but for now, he'll spend the season on loan at QPR.
Alvaro Fernandez
The Spanish left-back will spend his first loan spell away from the club at Preston North End.
At the age of 19, only joining from Real Madrid two years ago, a loan move to the Championship may be deemed surprising, but Fernandez is highly-rated in United's camp.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Juan Mata were released, while Lee Grant and Paul McShane retired.
Dylan Levitt
The 21-year-old midfielder joined Dundee United on a permanent basis after an impressive loan spell the previous season.
Levitt spent 12 years in United's youth teams, and did manage to make a senior appearance in 2019 when he played against Astana in the Europa League.
