Every signing by Bristol City's league rivals so far including Sunderland, Cardiff and Millwall

Bristol City were one of the early movers in the transfer market as Nigel Pearson wasted little time in getting three players through the door.

The Robins have been shrewd with their dealings with little funds available with Mark Sykes, Kal Naismith and Kane Wilson all making their way into the Ashton Gate roof on free transfers.

There's still plenty of work to do and plenty of time for City to continue strengthening their squad. Nigel Pearson still wants at least three new players and the club's business is likely to develop throughout the next two months with the manager keen to streamline his squad.

Cardiff have been by far the most productive with Callum O'Dowda one of nine new signings with manager Steve Morison eager to improve his side. Recently relegated Watford and Norwich and Burnley have been quiet thus far despite parachute payments while Burnley have started to make moves with two recent signings.

With the financial restraints on football clubs as they remain in recovery from the pandemic, many sides will have to be creative with their business with a necessity to tighten their purse strings.

Here are the deals completed by Bristol City's rivals so far in the market...
