It look set to be a busy summer transfer window for every Premier League team and some of them have already got their noses in front. A number of deals have already been agreed between players and top-flight clubs despite the transfer window not officially opening until Friday.
Newcastle United have made one key signing, with Matt Targett joining on a permanent deal. The left-back, who impressed on loan from Aston Villa, won't be the last through the entrance at St James' Park.
Focus now switches to the other positions that Eddie Howe believes need strengthening. A centre-back and striker are very much on the agenda while another centre midfielder and winger could also be targeted over the next few weeks and months.
