The World Cup in Qatar is over and that means the return of the Premier League is just around the corner.
Seven fixtures will be played on Boxing Day to mark the division's resumption, starting with Brentford's home clash against Tottenham. The other three games from Matchday 17 will take place on December 27 and 28, ending with Leeds vs Manchester City at Elland Road.
But what impact has the World Cup had on each club? Here, Mirror Football takes a look at everyone's situation heading into the second half of the season - analysing the post-World Cup fitness of their biggest players and what they're looking to achieve this term.
Arsenal
World Cup minutes played : 1,700
10 World Cup players : Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli (Brazil), Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan), Granit Xhaka (Switzerland), William Saliba (France), Matt Turner (United States), Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Bukayo Saka (England), Thomas Partey (Ghana)
Arsenal head into the second half of the season five points clear of champions Man City at the top of the Premier League table, but there's still a long way to go.
Among so-called "Big Six" clubs, Arsenal players featured the least in Qatar. The bad news is Gabriel Jesus picked up a knee injury and is not expected to play again until February, missing games against Tottenham, Manchester United and Man City. Takehiro Tomiyasu also suffered a hamstring injury and is a doubt for their Boxing Day clash against West Ham.
On a more positive note, the rest of Arsenal's players involved in the World Cup have returned from Qatar unscathed. Furthermore, only William Saliba went the distance with runners-up France - and he played just 27 minutes in the tournament.
Aston Villa
What did you make of the World Cup in Qatar? Let us know in the comments below!
World Cup minutes played : 1,233
Four World Cup players : Leander Dendoncker (Belgium), Jan Bednarek, Matty Cash (Poland), Emiliano Martinez (Argentina)
The majority of those minutes were accrued by Emiliano Martinez, who inspired Argentina to the trophy with a series of stunning saves. He is almost certain to miss Villa's Boxing Day clash against Liverpool to enjoy a well-earned celebration in Buenos Aires.
Leander Dendoncker, Jan Bednarek and Matty Cash all returned home from Qatar early on and are expected to play against the Reds. A good World Cup for Villa fans.
Bournemouth
World Cup minutes played : 495
Two World Cup players : Chris Mepham, Kieffer Moore (Wales)
Gary O'Neil's side should be fresh for the second half of the season after Chris Mepham and Kieffer Moore returned to the UK after the group stage. Bournemouth's campaign resumes with an EFL Cup tie against Newcastle at St James' Park on Tuesday night.
O'Neil will need his players to be ready for the huge task awaiting them. Bournemouth are among the favourites to go down and sit in 14th, just three points above the drop zone.
Brentford
World Cup minutes played : 509
Six World Cup players : Mikkel Damsgaard, Mathias Jensen, Christian Norgaard (Denmark), Bryan Mbeumo (Cameroon), David Raya (Spain), Saman Ghoddos (Iran)
None of Brentford's six World Cup stars left a major mark on the tournament and all of them should be available for their London derby against Tottenham on Boxing Day. Thomas Frank's Bees are 10th in the Premier League and should comfortably stay up.
Brighton
World Cup minutes played : 1,542
Eight World Cup players : Kauro Mitoma (Japan), Leandro Trossard (Belgium), Robert Sanchez (Spain), Alexis Mac Allister (Argentina), Tariq Lamptey (Ghana), Pervis Estupinan, Moises Caicedo, Jeremy Sarmiento (Ecuador)
Brighton players are sixth in the table when it comes to the most minutes played at the World Cup, which shows how far they've come since the glum days of the Withdean.
Most of those minutes were wracked up by Alexis Mac Allister, who played a key role in Argentina's triumph. Like Martinez, he will be allowed to enjoy his greatest achievement and definitely won't be thinking about Brighton's EFL Cup tie at Charlton on Wednesday!
Chelsea
World Cup minutes played : 3,303
12 World Cup players : Mateo Kovacic (Croatia), Thiago Silva (Brazil), Denis Zakaria (Switzerland), Christian Pulisic (United States), Hakim Ziyech (Morocco), Kai Havertz (Germany), Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, Raheem Sterling (England), Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly (both Senegal), Cesar Azpilicueta (Spain)
Chelsea's injury list before the World Cup was substantial and it's only grown. Armando Broja wasn't involved in the tournament but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in a friendly, while captain Cesar Azpilicueta picked up a calf strain in Qatar.
Furthermore, Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech are not expected to feature in Chelsea's Premier League game against Bournemouth on December 27 after going far with semi-finalists Croatia and Morocco. They both featured in the third-place play-off.
Chelsea's injury list seems to be getting longer. N'Golo Kante, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Ben Chilwell, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Carney Chukwuemeka have all suffered complaints in recent months. Not an ideal scenario for Graham Potter!
Crystal Palace
World Cup minutes played : 406
Two World Cup players : Joachim Andersen (Denmark), Jordan Ayew (Ghana)
Not much to report on for Palace. Joachim Andersen and Jordan Ayew both returned to Selhurst Park after the group stage and should be available for their Premier League game against Fulham on Boxing Day. Patrick Vieira is a lucky man!
Everton
World Cup minutes played : 752
Four World Cup players : Jordan Pickford, Conor Coady (England), Amadou Onana (Belgium), Idrissa Gana Gueye (Senegal)
Frank Lampard is another happy manager. None of Everton 's four players went the distance in Qatar and are set to be involved in their relegation scrap with Wolves on Boxing Day. Lampard needs all the help he can get, with Everton one point above the drop zone.
Fulham
World Cup minutes played : 1,332
Six World Cup players : Harry Wilson, Daniel James (Wales), Tim Ream, Antonee Robinson (United States) Joao Palhinha (Portugal), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Serbia)
Fulham won the Championship title just seven months ago but have acclimatised quickly to the Premier League. They're ninth in the table and one place higher when it comes to the most minutes played at the World Cup, with six players involved in Qatar.
Yet none of those stars went past the quarter-finals and should be in good shape to face Palace at Selhurst Park. A good World Cup for Fulham boss Marco Silva.
Leeds
World Cup minutes played : 735
Three World Cup players : Rasmus Kristensen (Denmark), Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams (United States)
Up to nine Leeds players could miss their daunting home clash against Manchester City on December 28 due to a mixture of injuries and suspensions, so it's probably a good thing only three of their players featured in Qatar. None of them went beyond the last 16.
Tyler Adams was superb for the United States at the World Cup, although he won't be involved against Man City. The good news is he's not injured, but the bad news is he's suspended. Leeds are just two points above the drop zone.
Leicester
World Cup minutes played : 1,001
Seven World Cup players : Danny Ward (Wales), Wout Faes, Timothy Castagne, Youri Tielemans (Belgium), James Maddison (England), Nampalys Mendy (Senegal), Daniel Amartey (Ghana)
There were a decent amount of Leicester stars on show at the World Cup, but none of them got past the quarter-finals. While all seven players will be disappointed by that, manager Brendan Rodgers will be thankful they're all fit and ready for a relegation scrap.
Leicester are 13th in the Premier League table and four points clear of the drop zone after recovering from a nightmare start to the season, where they picked up one point from their first seven games. Their campaign resumes against Newcastle on Boxing Day.
Liverpool
World Cup minutes played : 1,790
Seven World Cup players : Alisson, Fabinho (Brazil), Ibrahima Konate (France), Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson (England), Darwin Nunez (Uruguay), Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands)
There's some big names there, but only Ibrahima Konate, Jordan Henderson, Darwin Nunez and Virgil van Dijk played regularly at the World Cup. Spare a thought for Konate, who was brilliant against Morocco in the semi-final - only to be dropped for the next game.
Jurgen Klopp will be pleased none of his players picked up an injury in Qatar. Konate will be given an extended break, while Van Dijk, Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also unlikely to play in their EFL Cup tie against Manchester City on Thursday. Nunez is already back on Merseyside and scored twice in a friendly against AC Milan last Friday.
Liverpool's Premier League campaign resumes against Villa. Klopp's side are crying out for some consistency after winning just six of their first 14 league games this season. They're 14th in the table, a worrying 15 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Manchester City
World Cup minutes played : 4,572
16 World Cup players : Manuel Akanji (Switzerland), Ederson (Brazil), Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium), Ilkay Gundogan (Germany), John Stones, Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish (England), Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva (Portugal), Nathan Ake (Netherlands), Aymeric Laporte and Rodri (Spain), Julian Alvarez (Argentina)
Man City are top of the table when it comes to the most minutes played at the World Cup, which is another reminder of how much quality Pep Guardiola has at his disposal.
Julian Alvarez will be knackered after working tirelessly throughout Argentina's campaign and is unlikely to feature again until the New Year. Furthermore, 10 other Man City stars reached the quarter-finals in Qatar and are unlikely to play against Liverpool on Thursday.
The good news for Guardiola is Erling Haaland wasn't involved in the World Cup and is fully fit again after a foot injury. A reminder that he's already scored 23 goals this season.
Manchester United
World Cup minutes played : 3,587
13 World Cup players : Antony, Casemiro, Fred (Brazil), Christian Eriksen (Denmark), Raphael Varane (France), Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford (England), Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes (Portugal), Facundo Pellistri (Uruguay), Tyrell Malacia (Netherlands), Lisandro Martinez (Argentina)
Erik ten Hag's side are aiming to break back into the Premier League's top four this season and may feel a slight World Cup hangover, as 11 players reached the quarter-finals or beyond. That includes winner Lisandro Martinez, who didn't play in the final.
Martinez and Raphael Varane, who started the final for France, are both likely to receive an extended break. That's a problem for Ten Hag, as it leaves him two centre-backs short for their EFL Cup tie against Burnley at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Captain Harry Maguire is set to miss that game, too, after he was pictured cuddling a snake on holiday the other day. Furthermore, Diogo Dalot picked up a hamstring injury during Portugal's quarter-final defeat to Morocco - adding to Man Utd's defensive woes.
United's Premier League campaign continues against Nottingham Forest on December 27. They're fifth in the table, three points behind Tottenham in fourth with a game in hand.
Newcastle
World Cup minutes played : 394
Five World Cup players : Bruno Guimaraes (Brazil), Fabian Schar (Switzerland), Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson (England)
Although five Newcastle players travelled to Qatar, only Fabian Schar was a regular for his country and none of them went beyond the quarter-finals. Eddie Howe's side should be refreshed after the tournament and ready for a triple assault.
Newcastle are third in the Premier League, four points clear of Manchester United in fifth having played a game more. A European spot - perhaps even a Champions League place - will be their target. That would please their ambitious, mega-rich owners.
Newcastle also have a great shot at ending their 54-year wait for a trophy this season. They've got a seemingly comfortable FA Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday and have reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup, where they face Bournemouth at home.
Howe's side must be considered as one of the favourites for the latter competition, seeing as Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have already been dumped out of it. Furthermore, one of Man City and Liverpool will exit the EFL Cup on Thursday.
Nottingham Forest
World Cup minutes played : 867
Five World Cup players : Remo Freuler (Switzerland), Wayne Hennessey, Neco Williams, Brennan Johnson (Wales), Cheikhou Kouyate (Senegal)
Steve Cooper's squad should be feeling refreshed after the World Cup, although Cheikhou Kouyate won't play again for several weeks after tearing his groin. Forest's injury list is quite substantial, with the likes of Omar Richards and Giulian Biancone nursing complaints.
Yet Forest's squad list is also hefty after making 21 signings last summer. Cooper will be hoping there's enough quality in his squad to stay in the Premier League, as Forest are currently in the relegation zone - one point behind Everton in 17th.
Southampton
World Cup minutes played : 270
Two World Cup players : Armel Bella-Kotchap (Germany), Mohammed Salisu (Ghana)
Southampton are bottom of the Premier League when it comes to the most minutes played at the World Cup - and there's a good chance they'll be bottom of the actual table come May. They are currently 19th - two points behind Everton in that final safe spot.
Nathan Jones is now in charge of the Saints after succeeding Ralph Hasenhuttl in November. Their Premier League campaign resumes against local rivals Brighton on Boxing Day, although they must negotiate a tricky EFL Cup tie against Lincoln on Tuesday first.
Tottenham
World Cup minutes played : 3,600
11 World Cup players : Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Denmark), Ivan Perisic (Croatia), Richarlison (Brazil), Ben Davies (Wales), Hugo Lloris (France), Eric Dier, Harry Kane (England), Rodrigo Bentancur (Uruguay), Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal), Cristian Romero (Argentina), Son Heung-min (South Korea)
It's hard to imagine Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris being involved in their clash against Brentford on Boxing Day after he captained France to the World Cup final. Cristian Romero is also set to miss that game after playing a key role in Argentina's triumph.
Ivan Perisic will also be exhausted after playing in the third-place play-off for Croatia - while Richarlison, Eric Dier and Harry Kane all reached the quarter-finals. It's probably a good thing Tottenham were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Forest in November.
Spurs didn't look like title candidates during the first half of the season and they will need to improve to change that in the New Year. They're already eight points behind bitter rivals Arsenal having played a game more and will be looking over their shoulders.
West Ham
World Cup minutes played : 1,156
Five World Cup players : Lucas Paqueta (Brazil), Alphonse Areola (France), Nayef Aguerd (Morocco), Thilo Kehrer (Germany), Declan Rice (England)
There will be a few tired Hammers ahead of their game against Arsenal on Boxing Day. Alphonse Areola reached the final with France - although he didn't play - and Nayef Aguerd was part of the Morocco that became the first African nation to make the semi-finals.
Neither player is expected to play against the Gunners, with Aguerd nursing a hamstring injury. West Ham have a Premier League table to climb in the New Year, as they're currently 14th - just one point above the drop zone. Relegation could be on the cards.
Wolves
World Cup minutes played : 510
Five World Cup players : Matheus Nunes, Ruben Neves, Jose Sa (Portugal), Hwang Hee-chan (South Korea), Raul Jimenez (Mexico).
Speaking of relegation, Wolves are in serious trouble. They are bottom of the table - four points from safety - after winning just two of their first 15 Premier League games. Their campaign resumes with an EFL Cup tie against Gillingham on Tuesday night.
None of Wolves' five World Cup stars picked up an injury in Qatar, although Matheus Nunes, Ruben Neves, Jose Sa may not be ready to face Everton on Boxing Day after reaching the quarter-finals. Julen Lopetegui's side will be fearing the drop.
The full statistics can be view on the Premier League's website.
