A full list of fixed speed camera locations for Leeds has been published by West Yorkshire Police.
Fixed cameras are used to detect speeding offences and red light violations. They have been installed to counter very serious collision problems, to protect vulnerable road users and to encourage driver compliance with the speed limit and red lights.
West Yorkshire Police use a mixture of fixed camera types across the county, all of which are approved by the Home Office and are calibrated before enforcement. They are placed in areas that have been identified as high risk of collisions, following road collision analysis carried out at District Council level.

Speed and location surveys are carried out by Police and district engineers to ensure enforcement is possible and necessary.
