The January transfer window is now officially closed with Premier League clubs no longer able to make new signings from other sides.
Some clubs were more active than others, with Chelsea continuing their heavy transfer spend under Todd Boehly’s ownership by splashing out more than £300m during the month. That included the late arrival of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a British record fee of £106.7million.
At the other end of the scale, relegation-threatened Everton failed to make a single new signing despite selling Anthony Gordon to Newcastle for £40m and appointing Sean Dyche as manager. Arsenal added Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior to Mikel Arteta’s title-chasing squad before sealing a £12m move for Jorginho from Chelsea on deadline day.
