Everton are 'working on a deal' to sign Burnley's Maxwel Cornet, according to reports this afternoon.
The Blues have had a quiet summer so far with just one addition in James Tarkowski. The defender joined on a free transfer earlier in the window following the expiration of his contract with Burnley.
Now, they're looking to pry another from Turf Moor with suggestion they're looking to sign Cornet. A report from The Athletic claims the two clubs are in contact, but there is no agreement as of yet.

Cornet is the subject of plenty of interest this summer, with the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Leeds United also linked with the 25-year-old. However, David Ornstein claims Goodison Park is the likely destination as things stand.
Cornet made the move to Burnley last summer from Ligue 1 side Lyon and he made 28 appearances for the club. In that time, he scored nine goals and registered two assists.
Frank Lampard will be looking to add to his squad this summer in a bid to improve on their 16th placed finish last term. Chelsea duo Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja are among the players also to be linked with Everton this window.
Elsewhere, the Blues have lost a key star in Richarlison, who completed the switch to Tottenham at the start of the month.
