Frank Lampard is reportedly planning a raid on his former club Chelsea as he looks to help Everton put a season to forget behind them.
Having saved the Toffees from the threat of Premier League relegation, the Englishman is tracking a number of young talents at Stamford Bridge as his summer rebuild begins.
Lampard is also ready to look further afield, with a battle believed to be brewing for the signature of Salernitana midfielder Ederson Silva. Meanwhile, there is uncertainty over Everton's plans to strengthen their goalkeeping department.
Read on for the latest Everton transfer rumours.
Chelsea starlets targeted
As was the case during his time as Derby County boss, Lampard is ready to turn to Chelsea as he looks to move Everton forward.
The Liverpool Echo claim that the Toffees are ready to target young, hungry players after years of wasting cash on experienced Premier League stars.
And Blues youngsters Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Levi Colwill are all thought to fit the bill after impressing on loan this season.
Toffees fighting Palace for midfielder
Everton are also keen to strengthen in the centre of the park, particularly amid suggestions that Allan could be the subject of interest this summer.
And Salernitana midfielder Ederson Silva, who only joined the Italian club in January, is one potential target in that area according to Football Insider.
However, if Lampard is to get his man, he is likely to have to see off competition from Patrick Vieira and Crystal Palace, who are also keen.
Goalkeeper question
Everton's attempts to bolster their goalkeeping options have hit a snag, Lancs Live report.
The Merseyside club were keen on signing Chris Maxwell from Blackpool as they prepared for the departures of Asmir Begovic and Andy Lonergan on free transfers. But the failure to offload Joao Virginia to Sporting Lisbon following a successful loan spell means the move for Maxwell has stalled.
