Seamus Coleman has a 'slight thigh strain' and is being assessed by Republic of Ireland medical staff.
Coleman suffered the knock during Everton’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea last weekend. The full-back was taken off with six minutes remaining at Stamford Bridge.
The Everton skipper was always going to sit out his side’s friendly with Latvia on Wednesday night, but is now in a race against time to be fit to feature in Monday’s Euro 2024 qualifying clash with France.

“He would be part of our plans, for sure, so I’m just waiting to see how the situation goes,” Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny said.
"Seamus just has a slight thigh strain. I’ll be clearer (this) morning on all fronts when we see how he is. It would be ideal to have him but regardless we have the capacity to put in strong performances. We’ll just have to adapt (if ruled out).”
Kenny then continued: "Seamus is in his best form in the last two years. He had that intermittent hamstring injury four or five times last year and was struggling with it.
“For me it was never about age, people thought he was getting old but it was never about that. He needed a run of frequent training and regular matches in the Premier League have been good for him.
"I was at the game last week at Brentford when they won 1-0 and he played really well."
