Everton are set to open talks with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford over a new contract, according to reports.
The Guardian claims negotiations will be held in the coming weeks in a bid to secure the England international for the long-term future. He is currently under contract until 2024 and is about to enter the final two years of his deal.
The 28-year-old joined the Blues in the summer of 2017 and has so far made just shy of 200 appearances in his five years with the club. Pickford last signed a deal a year after his arrival, committing to a further six years.

Everton are 'determined' to keep a hold of Pickford, the report adds, with negotiations expected to run 'smoothly'.
A number of key players have been linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and, more recently, Anthony Gordon the subject of reported interest.
However, given Pickford's role in the squad and his status as an England international, he is a player the Blues will desperately want to tie down as they look to avoid another relegation battle in the upcoming season.
