Everton Premier League fixtures 2023/24 - Fulham travel to Goodison Park on opening day

After dramatically securing their top flight status on the final day of the 2022/23 campaign with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth just two-and-a-half weeks ago, Everton kick-off the 2023/24 season at home to a Fulham side managed by former Blues boss Marco Silva.

It remains to be seen whether 2023/24 proves to be the last full season at Goodison Park, the ECHO understands that contractors Laing O’Rourke are working to a timetable that ends in December 2024 and as things stand, Everton are looking to be in a position to be able to move into their new stadium by the turn of the calendar year going into 2025 but discussions around an end of season move will be made if necessary.

Although Blues will likely express caution after being an Abdoulaye Doucoure goal away from a first relegation in 72 years in May, posting the lowest equivalent points total in the club’s history, the first month of the new season provides the potential to get some points on the board if they can find some early form. Their second game is at Aston Villa on August 19, followed by a home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 26 and then a trip to Sheffield United on September 2.

The first Merseyside Derby is at Anfield on October 21 before Liverpool visit Goodison Park on March 16. Everton’s Boxing Day fixture is at home to Manchester City while their other game over the festive period is at Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 30.

Sheffield United are the visitors for the last home game of the season on May 11 and just as they did in 2021/ 22, the Blues finish at Arsenal, on May 19. Another fixture of note comes on December 16 when Sean Dyche is scheduled to return to Turf Moor, the ground where he was manager for almost a decade, to face his previous employees Burnley.
