Everton’s hopes of avoiding Premier League relegation suffered a setback yesterday after they were beaten by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The defeat brought an end to Everton’s four-game unbeaten run. Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial were both on target for Erik ten Hag’s side.
Elsewhere in the battle to avoid the drop, Bournemouth, West Ham, Wolves and Crystal Palace all won, with Leicester, Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Southampton being beaten.
