Everton march planned ahead of Tottenham clash with message sent to fans

Everton supporters will march towards Goodison Park this evening, in the latest protest against the board of directors and club owner.

Blues fans began to express their anger at the current state of the club ahead of a crucial fixture versus Southampton in January and have continued to demonstrate their unhappiness in home matches that have since followed.

This will again be the case before this evening's meeting with Tottenham Hotspur, with the The 'All Together Now' campaign intending to stage a march beginning at 7pm from The Royal Oak pub on Spellow Lane up to Goodison Park.

Despite a positive result being earned in Everton's previous Premier League meeting against Chelsea, fans continue to be frustrated by off-field matters. The Blues, who are currently the subject of an investigation after an alleged financial breach, last week published their accounts and perplexed many individuals after Bill Kenwright signed off his personal message with the words 'Chairman Bill'.

Reinforcing why tonight's march will take place, organisers NSNOW tweeted: "If there was ever any doubt as to why change is needed the last 10 days have provided overwhelming evidence. Please support the march #AllTogetherNow."

Farhad Moshiri has not attended a game at Goodison Park since the 5-2 capitulation against Watford on October 23, 2021, while board members, including chairman Kenwright and chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale, have continued to stay away from home fixtures due to safety concerns.

Addressing this situation in the report detailing Everton's accounts for 2021/22, Kenwright said: “Memories of occasions like these [beating Crystal Palace last season] has made the recent instruction given to myself and my fellow board members not to attend Goodison Park all the more painful. That has hurt deeply. We have also been forced into making some painful changes at the Club but, although we all dearly wanted manager Frank Lampard and his backroom team to succeed, ultimately a change became inevitable. We believe the start Sean Dyche has made to his time as our manager, nor forgetting his admirable allies Steve Stone and Ian Woan, has already justified that decision."
