Everton have been tipped to rival Tottenham Hotspur for Daniel James this summer, although sources have told WalesOnline that neither club has yet made a formal approach for the Leeds United winger.
James was first linked with a move to north London last week, with reports pointing to a possible loan move with a guaranteed permanent £20m option, and speculation over a move has lingered ever since, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano insisting talks between Spurs and Leeds United have already taken place.
However, he says Tottenham aren't the only ones to have shown an interest.

Romano claims Everton have launched an enquiry into the winger's availability this summer, tweeting: "Tottenham have discussed potential loan with buy option for Daniel James with Leeds last week — not an easy deal, also Everton asked for Dan.
"Situation remains open, it’s up to the player — Leeds would be happy to keep James."
Our colleagues at football.london have previously confirmed there is admiration for James within the corridors of power at Tottenham, with the Wales international ear-marked as a potential replacement for winger Bryan Gil, who could yet move on this summer. However, the same outlet insisted the club have not yet pressed ahead with any interest.
Sources in west Yorkshire have told WalesOnline the situation hasn't yet changed a week on.
The 24-year-old only joined Leeds from Manchester United last summer for a club-record £30million, and pitched in with four goals and five assists in 34 league games.
James has since played three appearances in the Premier League this season.
