Everton have completed their first signing of the summer after the arrival of James Tarkowski was confirmed on Friday.
The 29-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a four-year contract after leaving Burnley at the end of his contract. And with Blues boss Frank Lampard expected to have more wriggle room in his budget now that Richarlison has made a £60m move to Tottenham Hotspur, further incomings are expected at Goodison Park.
And, on that front, here are the latest Blues-related transfer rumours.

Rodrigo Becao

Sky Italia
What?
Following Tarkowski’s arrival at the club and Lampard’s desire to improve the quality and reliability of the spine of his side, the latest player to be linked with Everton is Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao.
The 26-year-old centre-back made 36 appearances for the Italian side as they finished 12th in Serie A last season. Along with Sky Italia, Gazzetta dello Sport report Becao is ‘very popular’ with Everton transfer officials. Becao is valued between €15-20m by his club. And Sky Italia journalist Gianluca DiMarzio has stated the Blues are in 'advanced negotiations' with Udinese.
The Brazilian played 35 out of 38 league games across the 2021-22 campaign, missing two due to suspension and just one due to injury. His durability could be welcome news to Everton fans who have become frustrated by the fitness problems faced by arguably their best defender, Yerry Mina.
Who?
Tyler Adams

CBS Sports
What?
Everton have joined the race to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has won 30 caps for the US but his club are expected to allow him to depart this summer as he aims to secure regular first-team football ahead of the winter World Cup in Qatar.
Adams has also been linked to Sevilla and Leeds United with the latter seen as the favourites to secure his signature on a season-long-loan. This has been helped by the fact that Adams played under Leeds boss Jesse Marsch at both New York Red Bulls and RB Leipzig and the duo have reportedly already discussed the move. The Whites are looking to fill the void left by Kalvin Phillips’s impending departure to Manchester City.
Who?
Jesse Lingard

The Daily Mail
What?
Everton are reportedly set to compete with West Ham United for the signing of free agent Jesse Lingard.
As revealed by the ECHO on Friday, and now also reported in the Daily Mail, Everton are interested in a move for the midfielder. The 29-year-old left Manchester United upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June after scoring 35 goals in 232 appearances at Old Trafford.
The report states that Lampard wants proven Premier League players and given the financial situation the Blues find themselves in, along with the reported collapse of the proposed Peter Kenyon-led takeover, Lingard is his top target. The Everton manager is said to want to finalise a deal before his side’s pre-season tour to the US.
