Everton have no interest in Anthony Gordon sale as rival clubs circle for young star

Everton have no intention of selling Anthony Gordon amid interest from several Premier League clubs, the ECHO understands.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly among those keen on the 21-year-old following his impressive breakthrough season for the Blues. Gordon, who won Everton's players' player of the season and young player of the season awards, was one of the bright sparks in an otherwise difficult campaign in which the club narrowly avoided relegation.

As well as impressing for the first team, Gordon has also produced a number of promising displays for England's Under-21s in catching the eye of rival clubs.

In the face of that interest, Everton are said to be intent on keeping hold of Gordon, however, as they prepare for a new season that launches at Goodison Park against Chelsea on August 6.
