Everton have received new dates for four of their Premier League clashes as the Blues approach the final stage of the season, including the Merseyside derby at Anfield.
Frank Lampard’s side sit level on points with 18th-place Watford, with Everton ’s superior goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three. However, the Blues still have up to three games in hand on the teams around them and could distance themselves from trouble with a few positive results.
Burnley are one team that are also in the relegation fight and Everton’s clash at Turf Moor has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 6 with a 7:30pm kick-off time. The game was originally meant to be played on Boxing Day but was cancelled due to a number of covid-19 cases.

A fortnight later, on Wednesday, April 20, the Blues will host Leicester City in a 7:45pm kick-off at Goodison Park. Initially scheduled for January, the game was called off after a mixture of injuries, covid cases and players on international duty within the Foxes’ squad.
The second Merseyside derby of the season has also been moved due to TV coverage. Frank Lampard ’s side will take on Liverpool at Anfield at 4:30pm on Sunday, April 24. A day later than originally planned, the Blues will hope to avenge their earlier defeat in December.
Additionally, the club’s penultimate home game of the season against Chelsea has also been moved to Sunday, May 1 at 2pm, with Blues boss Lampard taking on his former side a day later than initially scheduled.
However, both the Liverpool and Chelsea matches could be subject to further change, depending on their respective fixture dates and potential progress in the Champions League.
