(Picture: PA Media)Peter Connelly died aged 17 months on August 3, 2007 at the hands of his mother, Tracey Connelly, her boyfriend, Steven Barker, and their lodger Jason Owen at their home in Tottenham. His death followed months of abuse, which left him with more than 50 injuries including a broken back.
The treatment suffered by Baby Peter horrified the nation when it came to light two years after his death. It revealed institutional errors of judgement and failings by Haringey, leading to the council chief being sacked and other resignations.
