Incumbent Gabe Evans (R), Manny Rutinel (D), and David Wood (L) are running in the general election for Colorado's 8th Congressional District on November 3, 2026. All three candidates completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey.
Below are excerpts from the candidates' submitted biographies.
Evans said, "I ran for Congress because I saw the challenges Colorado and our country faces with crime, the cost of living, and the rise of socialism. As a cop, I saw the fentanyl crisis and other crime take over our communities, and unfortunately, due to Denver Democrats’ soft-on-crime and anti-law enforcement policies, my hands were tied on how I could effectively do my job and help my community."
