Porto attacker Evanilson has spoken about his love for English football amid reports linking him with the Reds.
The forward scored 21 goals across all competitions this season to help his team to the Liga NOS title. The 22-year-old could be seen as a potential back-up for Cristiano Ronaldo with Erik ten Hag keen to reinforce his forward options.
Recent reports in Portugal claimed that Porto turned down a £56m bid from United for their lead striker, adding that they are expecting a second bid of around £69m.

However, his agent, Marcio Barros, has said that no bids have yet been made for him and that only Brighton and Hove Albion have made an "approach".
“To those responsible for managing Evanilson’s career, no official proposal has arrived, only polls from England,” Barros told Zero Zero, via Sportwitness. "There was an approach from Brighton. If a formal proposal arrives, we will analyse the best for the player.”
But Evanilson has delivered some encouraging words for those in England interested in his services.
The Brazilian told Lance : “I like English football - I really like English football.” He went on to reveal his desire to build on his form at the top, but stopped just short of saying he wants a move away.
He added: “I'm at a good level in my career, but I'm not at a top level. I have a lot to evolve. If a big team comes… I'll try to do my best in Porto. I will work hard to be as prepared as possible.”
Evanilson has scored 25 times in 70 Porto matches since his 2020 switch from Brazilian club Tombense. However, he is yet to score in the nine Champions League games and four Europa League matches he has played in his young career.
