Cole is of the opinion than Ferguson's development would be best suited to staying put at Brighton.
“Evan Ferguson is only 18 years old and he'll want to continue playing games. If he went to Manchester United now, it would stump his growth.," Cole told King Casino Bonus.
"At his age, he just needs to play more games, he's shown he can do it in the FA Cup against Grimsby, I want to see more from him in the Premier League.”
Roberto De Zerbi's side are currently 6th in the Premier League and have aspirations of finishing in the European places.
