Evacuated passengers at Glasgow Airport wait in 'freezing' car park for hours amid suspicious item found

Passengers evacuated from Glasgow Airport this morning have been waiting in freezing conditions for hours.

The airport terminal was closed shortly after 6am when a suspect item was found during a security search and police were called to the scene.

Some passengers have been moved to the nearby Holiday Inn Express, but many have been left standing in the car parks with no ground staff available to answer questions.
