Eurovision Song Contest star David Ducasse has revealed he is now working in a South Shields vets, 15 years on from 'flying the flag' for the United Kingdom at the world famous event.
South Tyneside star David and bandmates Natalie Powers, Caroline Barnes and Russ Spencer were the UK's representatives for the competition, back when it was held in Finland in 2007, a year after 'monster' group triumphed with their rock anthem Hard Rock Hallelujah.
By the time they hit the Eurovision stage, Scooch, once dubbed 'the new Steps,' had already tasted sizable chart success in the UK, thanks to songs like When By Baby, More Than I Needed to Know and For Sure, and their journey to Helsinki got off to a dramatic start when late BBC presenter Terry Wogan announced their rival Cyndi as winner of the national final.
