Eurovision's Mae Muller unrecognisable from childhood claim to fame

Mae Muller had a starring role in a world-famous music video.

Mae was announced as the United Kingdom's Eurovision Song Contest act this morning. Zoe Ball broke the news on her BBC Radio 2 morning show with the popstar admitting she's never been more excited.

The I Wrote A Song singer is a globally celebrated artist with multiple MTV award nominations and millions of streams, but even some die-hard fans may not recognise her from one of her earliest roles in music.

She shares a coincidental tie with last year's Eurovision presenter, pop star Mika. The pair worked together on the visuals for one of his most acclaimed tracks, Grace Kelly, when she was only ten years old.

Throughout the music video, Mika is seen singing and dancing with a young girl in a green dress who just so happens to be our very own Eurovision entry.

Last year the 25-year-old spoke to The Female Forum where she revealed she got the part by going through a standard audition process. She said: "I loved Mika at the time too and I thought I can't [reach a new height], it all goes downhill from here."
