Forecasters are predicting a day of brilliant sunshine and clear skies for the Eurovision grand final in the city.

Liverpool is gearing up for its biggest party yet as thousands of people from across Europe join us for the Song Contest as we take on hosting duties for last year's winning country Ukraine. With events taking place all over the city centre and the EuroVillage at the Pier Head, many will be wanting to know what the weather will be like and if they will need to pack an umbrella.

While we are used to the rain in Merseyside, Met Office experts have said there will be hours of uninterrupted sunshine with maximum temperatures of 19°C. There will be a light easterly breeze (coming from the north west after lunchtime) and humidity will be around 62-76%.
