Mae Muller has been confirmed as the UK’s act for this year's Eurovision Song Contest. She will be performing her I Wrote A Song track in Liverpool when the legendary show is hosted there in April.
Appearing on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning (March 9), the 25-year-old from north London announced herself as this year’s competitor, adding: “Oh my God, I have been waiting to say that for months. I am shaking. That has been on my lips and in the brain and in the soul and on the nails.”
According to EurovisionsWorld.com, the UK's chances of winning this year do not look promising. The site gives Mae three and a half stars out of five. Slovenia has been ranked four and half, along with Norway, France, Finland and Moldova.

Poland was given one of the lowest predictions with just two stars, and last year's winner, Ukraine, was only given two and a half.
Eurovision will take place in Liverpool after the UK was chosen to host the competition on behalf of war-torn Ukraine. Tickets for the grand final went on sale on Tuesday and sold out in just over half an hour.
Other countries across Europe have now revealed who will be performing for them, here is the full list:
