Spain's Eurovision performance has woken up a lot of viewers who were beginning to think that the 2022 ceremony was a touch bland as they gave a brilliantly sexy performance on top of a banger of a song and some wicked choreography.
Cuban artist Chanel blew the audience away with her performance of Slo Mo. The star has over a decade of musical theatre experience, having starred in productions of The Lion King , Flashdance , The Bodyguard and Mamma Mia . She has also danced on stage with Shakira, at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. You can follow all the Eurovision updates and results live here and the Eurovision running order is here.
Fans famous and otherwise thought Chanel killed it with the dance break. Olly Alexander from Years & Years said: "omg spain …..that was amazing #Eurovision CHANEL !!!!!"Labour MP Stella Creasy liked it too: "Oh YES Spain! Now this is what is technically called a banger AND a cracking costume as involves more mesh and sparkle than any washing machine can cope with … pa pa pa indeed!"
kadir wrote on Twitter: "The Latin Queen hit the stage like a bombshell." And Meehall said: "Spain winning I think #Eurovision "
@_FabianoRocha added: Spain is so much better than everyone else this year, it’s unbelievable! #Eurovision "
