Eurovision 2022 TV schedule - when you can watch the grand final and semi-finals

Eurovision 2022 is fast approaching and excitement is building for one of the most popular song contests in the world. Hosted this year in Turin, Italy, the competition will be presented by TV presenter Alessandro Cattelan and singers Laura Pausini and Mika.

Rehearsals are currently taking place ahead of the event which will take place over three days. Eurovision will end with the Grand Final on Saturday, May 14, when the winner will be crowned at Pala Olimpico. So when can we watch it on TV?

The song contest consists of three different shows - and not everyone makes it through to the Grand Final so the only chance to see all the entries perform is to watch all three programmes. Here's everything you need to know about Eurovision 2022's schedule and how to watch everything live.

Eurovision 2022 schedule

Eurovision Song Contest has two semi-finals and a Grand Final. Amazingly, 15 countries never make it as far as the final, as they are booted off in the semi-finals. So the only way to see them all is to watch all three parts.

Semi-final 1 will kick things off on Tuesday, May 10, with 17 countries competing to be part of the ten best songs which will go on into the Grand Final. Semi-final 1 will see performances from Albania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Greece, Iceland, Norway, Russia, Portugal and Armenia.

Semi-final 2 will take place on Thursday, May 12. Another 18 countries will battle to be in the remaining ten best songs to be featured in the final. Semi-final 2 will see performances from Australia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Finland, Georgia, Israel, Malta, San Marino, Serbia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ireland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania and Sweden.

The UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy do not have to go through the semi-final process and automatically qualify for the Grand Final on Saturday, May 14. All live events will start at 8pm UK time.

How to watch Eurovision 2022 live

The Eurovision semi-finals on May 10 and 12 can both be watched live on BBC Three, with Scott Mills and Rylan Clark commentating.

The Eurovision Grand Final will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer and on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds from 8pm on Saturday, May 14.
