Eurovision 2022 was as entertaining as it was stressful for the UK. After getting "nul points" last year, the country quickly became one of the most serious contenders to win the song contest.
The UK's entry, Sam Ryder, and his song Space Man, was the big favourite of the juries' votes. It received in total 283 points from the 40 different juries. Sweden came second with 258 and Spain was third with 231. But the public's votes changed everything.
Eurovision fans at home gave Ukraine the first position with 631 votes overall. Sam Ryder, from Essex, came second, with 466. Spain with its act Chanel, another favourite, finished third with 459 votes.
