Two of the five major European leagues kick of their new seasons this weekend as the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 both return along with the Premier League while Serie A and La Liga start a week later.

The top clubs around the continent are still attempting to strengthen their squads for testing campaigns ahead with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and both Milan clubs among those who are still in the market to make new signings.

With the transfer window set to close on September 1st Mirror Sport has rounded up the best of the transfer news, rumours and speculation from around the continent.
