European side deny Celtic contact in major summer transfer update

Go Ahead Eagles general manager Jan Willem van Dop has confirmed Celtic have not made any contact this summer over Jakob Breum, despite continued links to the Danish attacker.

Breum, 22, has remained a player of interest after Celtic tracked him during the January window, although no move materialised. With the winger now entering the final year of his contract, his situation continues to attract attention.

However, Van Dop has stressed there has been no approach from the Scottish champions. “No message received from Celtic yet,” Van Dop told Celts Are Here.

That position is unchanged from earlier in the window, when the Go Ahead Eagles chief also confirmed there had been no formal bid from Parkhead. “No official offer,” Van Dop previously said.

Separately, Go Ahead Eagles technical director Marc van Hintum has confirmed Breum does not intend to sign a new contract, opening the door to a potential sale this summer.

Van Dop also revealed there is interest in the player from elsewhere, noting it comes from “outside Scotland.”

On valuation, the general manager indicated Breum would cost “approximately €3.5m–€4m.”

As it stands, Celtic have yet to act on their previous interest, with no contact made so far during the current window.
