Arsenal have emerged as the early favourites to win the Europa League this season ahead of the competition's group stage draw. Mikel Arteta's side have been priced at 6/1 with Betway while league rivals Manchester United shortly behind them at 15/2.
It is not the competition the club wanted to be in this season but Arteta will no doubt turn this into a positive for his players as they look to gain Champions League qualification for the first time in seven years. Last season, the north London club did not feature in Europe at all and were knocked out in the semi-finals back in 2021 to eventual winners Villareal - led by former Gunners boss Unai Emery.
Elsewhere, Man United will be looking for a strong experience in UEFA's second-tier competition having qualified on the last day of the season. New boss Erik ten Hag will be keen to make sure his side hit the ground running and return to Champions League football sooner rather than later but the bookies clearly see them as one of the favourites at 15/2.
The Gunners are in pot one along with Premier League rivals United plus AS Roma, Lazio, Braga, Red Star Belgrade, Dynamo Kyiv and Olympiacos. Pot two includes Feyenoord, Stade Rennais, PSV Eindhoven, Monaco, Real Sociedad, Qarabag, Malmo FF and Ludogorets.
Pot three features Turkish giants Fenerbahce, Real Betis, Midtjylland, Bodo/Glimt, Ferencvaros plus Bundesliga sides Union Berlin and Freiburg. Pot four has Nantes, HJK, Sturm Graz, AEK Larnaco, Omonoia, FC Zurcih, Royal Union St Gilloise and Trabzonspor.
Here are the odds from Betway:
- Arsenal - 6/1
- Man United - 15/2
- AS Roma - 12/1
- Lazio - 20/1
- Real Sociedad - 20/1
- Real Betis - 25/1
- Bar - 50/1
