It could be the first-ever silverware for Hammers boss David Moyes, who has enjoyed a fine four years with the club. For the Hammers themselves it could be their first European trophy since 1965, when they secured the Cup Winners' Cup.
The most recent trophy for the London club came 43 years ago, beating Arsenal in the FA Cup final. Since then, the east Londoners have not tasted glory. This is the first European final for Fiorentina since 1990, when they lost to Juventus in the UEFA Cup (now Europa League).
