Euphoria star Angus Cloud reveals Irish family connections and plans to move here

Euphoria star Angus Cloud has revealed he has strong Irish family connections and had even planned to move here before bagging his big break.

Irish fans were shocked this week to learn that the HBO star’s full name is Conor Angus Cloud Hickey and his family are from Ireland.

The actor is best known as lovable rogue Fezco in Euphoria, starring alongside leading lady Zendaya throughout the series.

While he was born and raised in sunny California, the 27-year-old’s family originally hail from Ireland.

Many are still living here today, the budding star admitted he was planning on moving to Ireland before he was cast in the popular series.

During an interview with Wall Street Journal in 2019, he said: “I was gonna move to Ireland for a while. All my family lives out there.”

Cloud had been working in a chicken and waffles restaurant in New York before he was scouted for the acting role.

Irish Euphoria fans have been more than happy to claim the star as one of our own since the revelation.

One said: “Your man Fez from Euphoria’s full name being Conor Angus Cloud Hickey is too much for me.

"Conor Hickey is not a soft boy dealer, he is an U18s hurler for the local GAA team.”

Others reacted in disbelief.

“Josephine on the phone telling me that the actor who plays fez in euphoria called conor hickey and is from Ireland? fully serious?,” one fan wrote.

Meanwhile others were heartbroken to learn they missed out on the chance of having him move to Ireland.

One said: “Apparently Angus cloud and his family were about to move back to Ireland before euphoria .. we almost had him girls.”

Another added: “Can’t believe Angus Cloud would have been running amuck in Ireland if he wasn’t casted in Euphoria, just a regular lad bopping about but now he has thousands of people saying they’d die for him on twitter.”
