Eufy's new robot vacuum is a massive upgrade over its predecessor — at half the price

Eufy Omni S2 robot vacuum.

Eufy continues to impress in the robot vacuum market, and its latest offering may well solidify its position as one of the best robot vacuums.

Following the recent launch of its predecessor, the Omni S2, Eufy has just dropped a new and improved robot vacuum that comes with an upgraded docking station. The C28 Omni comes with a 5-in-1 docking station that can self-empty, wash mops, fill its own water tanks, hot-air dry, and handle dirty water — so you don’t have to.

Perhaps what’s even more impressive is that it’s actually more affordable than its previous model. The C28 is now available for £649 or €599 on Amazon, and costs practically half the price of its predecessor, the Eufy Omni S2, which currently retails for £1,000 (or $1,300).

While the C28 is scheduled for a U.S. launch at the end of this month, its pricing will offer a significant saving. And given that the two robot vacuums were released in quick succession, this makes the C28 an appealing choice for your home. So what can we expect?

What’s new about the Eufy C28?

In addition to its highly impressive all-in-one docking station, the C28 includes several other notable features. First of all, it boasts up to 15,000Pa of power, which is more than adequate to quickly suck up dirt, dust, and even ingrained hair from carpets, rugs, and hard floors.

On the topic of stubborn hair, it also features DuoSpiral detangling brushes that automatically prevent fur and hair from clogging up your robot vacuum — which is a dream for pet parents. This is thanks to its rotating brush system that quickly separates hair strands in the station. Its advanced Laser Navigation will allow smoother obstacle avoidance and detection, even in dim light or under low-rise furniture.

In addition, the upgraded mopping system features an auto-lift to avoid getting carpets and rugs wet, and Eufy’s HydroJet roller mopping technology. This feature continuously sprays fresh water onto the mop, and its built-in scraper simultaneously removes dirt during the cleaning process. Essentially, this should be the solution to preventing those unsightly dirty streaks on floors after mopping.

What’s more, the dock automatically washes and dries the mops at 122 degrees F, for a more hygienic maintenance and avoids smelly odors. Plus, it self-refills, empties all waste, and self-charges, which is super handy and gives you everything you need in one robovac.

So if you want a completely hands-free cleaning experience (with minimal maintenance), this Eufy C28 seems like a great option for an even better price.

When can I buy the Eufy C28?

The Eufy C28 robot vacuum will be available in late February in the U.S, but we will be sure to get our hands on a model to test out. Watch this space for more updates.
