The EU has lashed out at the UK's "simply not acceptable" threat to rip up the Brexit trade pact for Northern Ireland.
Following a call with Foreign Secretary Liz Truss today, European Commission vice-president Maros Sefcovic, Brussels issued a major rebuke over Britain's warning it could suspend the Northern Ireland Protocol
Urging Britain to “uphold the rule of law and live up to international obligations”, Mr Sefcovic said London’s stance could damage Northern Ireland’s peace deal.
