ETON College has "sanctioned" several of its pupils following allegations that a group of state schoolgirls were subject to racist and misogynistic abuse.
The Berkshire private school said it apologised "unreservedly" for the incident which took place during a speech by Nigel Farage last week.
The politician said the atmosphere at the event was "riotous".
Following an investigation by the school, a spokesperson told the BBC the behaviour was "totally unacceptable".
One person, who said they were a parent of one of the girls who attended the speech, said on social media that the students were booed and subject to "racist slurs" and "generally misogynistic comments".
The anonymous poster also said the students cheered on Farage's “worst comments on migrants and Covid”.
They said the behaviour of the Eton pupils was "awful".
The elite school charges in excess of £40,000 in yearly fees.
Boris Johnson, David Cameron, Prince William and Eddie Redmayne are among the pupils to have attended Eton College.
