Ethan Laird admits Bournemouth loan struggles as he praises 'top' Manchester United youngster Anthony Elanga

Manchester United loanee Ethan Laird has sung the praises of emerging star Anthony Elanga in an Instagram Q&A. The former Swansea-man saw his spell in Wales cut short in order to secure a move to promotion-chasing Bournemouth but has seen his start to life on the coast delayed due to injury.

Laird made his Cherries bow on Saturday as Scott Parker's side needed two late goals to down 10-man Stoke City with Dominic Solanke and Jamal Lowe scoring within six minutes of each other in order to keep in touch with league leaders Fulham.

The 20-year-old was taking part in a question-and-answer session on Bournemouth's official Instagram account where he was pressed to offer his thoughts on recent Sweden's Elanga.

Laird lavished praise on his teammate: "How good is Elanga? I think he's showing it right now, shouting out my boys. He's top, I think he's showing, everyone knows it, everyone knows it since day... shoutout my boy, man."

After a difficult start to his loan spell suffering through injury, Laird revealed: "I'm loving every moment, the people have been brilliant with me, the coaches, staff, fans as well. I can't wait to get a run of games. Obviously, it's been a hard start but I've made my debut, I just want to carry on from there."

Bournemouth have two games in hand over the Cottagers going into the final games of the season but currently sit nine points off Marco Silva's side as they remain in the automatic promotion place.
