Ethan Hawke and his daughter Maya Hawke have collaborated on a new film titled 'Wildcat,' which delves into the life and work of Southern Catholic novelist and short story writer Flannery O'Connor. The movie, directed by Ethan and starring Maya as O'Connor, offers a creative exploration of the author's imagination and real-life struggles.

Flannery O'Connor, who passed away at the age of 39 in 1964 due to lupus, posthumously won the National Book Award in 1972. While celebrated for her prose and social satire, O'Connor has faced recent scrutiny for racism in her private correspondence and treatment of race in her works.
