With the 29th pick of the 2022 NHL Draft, the Arizona Coyotes selected defenseman Maveric Lamoreaux, which earned a C from our Mary Clarke in her draft grades.
But it was a moment on ESPN’s broadcast that had everyone buzzing, including ESPN’s announcing crew, as they had quite the over-the-top reaction to Lamoreaux’s parents giving each other a big kiss in celebration of their son becoming an NHL first-rounder.
Now, look: It wasn’t a run-of-the-mill peck. But nothing wrong with this between two married people who love each other and are celebrating a big life-changing moment! It is not a “GET SOME!” kind of thing here.
